Annual Tuscarora District Dinner

The District Dinner is an opportunity for all scouters of the Tuscarora District to join together and recognize the accomplishments of the past year. This is a family affair; all are invited and encouraged to attend! We welcome the submission of any award on the personal, unit, or district level to be presented. If you know of any awards achieved this year, or have one you would like to be awarded at the dinner (to include Wood Badge!) please contact Scott at the Scout Service Center. The district awards submissions must be provided in advance (30 days) of the dinner for it to be included.

Cost:$13 per adult (12 and older)

DISTRICT ROUNDTABLE
Gary Hazard is putting together one of the best Roundtable Programs of all time! The second Thursday of each month at Shady Grove Ruritan Center. Gather at 6, start at 630, food and merriment are involved! Gary and his staff have put together great scout lessons for all levels. Last month's attendance was around 30, that will be topped for sure!

COAT DRIVE
Also, the Tuscarora District is conducting a coat drive. Please donate your new or used children/adult winter coat!! Bring them in to District Roundtable on November 10th or call/text me at 717-504-3608. I will pick them up!!

I will keep it simple this month. Here is a check list and keep up the “Good Work!”

1.) Is your Training up to date? ( Training is Mandatory)
2.) (Cub Scouts) Have you awarded all your new Scouts their Bobcat award?
3.) Do you have a unit budget?
4.) Does your unit have a fitness plan
5.) Are you tracking your units “Journey to Excellence”? (Due in December)
6.) Are you help to sell Christmas trees?
7.) Do you have leaders lined up to attend University of Scouting? Nov 19th?
8.) Have you registered your troop for summer camp!
9.) Are you doing a “Good turn daily?”
10.) Recharter begin December 1st and ends Jan 31st. (charter turn in Jan12 or before)
11.) Are you attending Roundtables?
