Cub Scout Activities
The council offers opportunities to keep your Cub Scouts active year 'round, both in, and outside of their packs. From Cub Hike Club and Cub Scout Skate Club to Pinewood Derby to camping opportunities, your Cub Scout is sure to find something that he enjoys.
Cub Hike Club
The Cub Hike Club is an introduction to hiking for Cub Scout-aged boys and their families. It involves all ranks of Cubs and provides hikes specific for their abilities. The hikes also provide the opportunity for the entire family to get out and enjoy the outdoors.
The hikes take place in the spring and fall of each year. All hikes are guided and contain some sort of game to keep the Scouts' interest up. In addition, at the end of each hike, the Cub will earn beads based on the location of the hike and number of miles he hiked. These beads can be added to his Hike Club Patch as a measure of his hard work.
Cub Scout Skate Club
Introduced in 2016, the Cub Scout Skate Club is a winter activity for Cub Scouts at Turner’s Skate Palace near the Valley Mall in Hagerstown. During each session, Scouts learn skating skills and also have the opportunity for an open skate.
